Cjasa de Viola

Cjasa de Viola

"Ciasa de Viola" is located in the historical hilly hamlet of Mezzomonte, very close to the main town square. The accommodation is actually in the most ancient area of the hamlet (circa 18th century) which stands on a sort of "natural balcony" at 479 metres above sea level and is renowned in the whole region for the amazing panoramic view over the Friulian plain and for the peace and quietness which only mountain hamlets can offer.

In 2013 the building was completely renovated on the basis of a project by architect Andrea Ceolin who combined conservative restoration with green-building techniques. The original characteristic features of this traditional building, such as the ancient exposed stone walls and the wooden trusses, were finely preserved and combined with modern-life comfort.

Fresh in summer, warm and cosy in winter, this accommodation offers its guests comfort and wellbeing all year long.

It is a two-storey building which on the ground floor features a kitchen with a traditional wood stove, an ante-bathroom and a bathroom with shower. On the first floor there is a double bedroom and a single bedroom with an additional bed available.

Ciasa de Viola also features a cosy private garden where an old stable has been remodelled into a playroom for kids and a reading room.

This accommodation is the ideal place to enjoy calm and relaxation, yet it is also an excellent point of departure for hikers, mountain bike riders or to enjoy a nice horse ride.
